Mrs. Alice "Babe" Ever Hogan Harp, age 86, a resident of Idabel, Oklahoma passed from this life on December 26, 2024 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel.

Babe was born May 23, 1938, in Lubbock, Texas, to John Henry and Hester Molly Lewis Hogan. She was a Baptist. She enjoyed watching TV and spending time with her family, and everyone who knew her knew that she was a spitfire.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Newman Harp; two sisters, Ilwaine Repond and Alma Lee Wren; two brothers, Sam Groves and Edgar Joe Groves and her niece, Judy Lee Wren.

Babe leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Tonya Harp of De Queen, Arkansas and Robbie Cowling of Idabel, Oklahoma; one son, Johnny Harp of Ashdown, Arkansas; seven grand-children, Joshua Johnson of De Queen, Arkansas, Jayce Harp Johnson of De Queen, Arkansas, Matthew Cowling of New Port Richey, Florida, Justin Harp of Mena, Arkansas, Ashley Olalde of Horatio, Arkansas, Vickie Wood of Rufe Oklahoma, Chantae Cleckler of Rufe, Oklahoma; 15 great-grand-children and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Mrs. Alice "Babe" Harp will be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.
