Mr. James Thomas “Jamie” Taylor, age 66, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Friday, May 18, 2012, at his home.
He was born to Elve C. and Inez B. Young Taylor at De Queen, Arkansas, on February 4, 1946. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church and a member of the Gideon’s International Camp #U03027. He was owner and operator of JT’s Dozer, Inc, as well as a building contractor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and serving the Lord..
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra K. “Sandy” Taylor of Lockesburg, two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Teresa Taylor of Horatio, Chris and Loni Taylor of Luther, Oklahoma, a daughter and son-in-law, DeAnn and Joe Weatherly of Denton, Texas, his mother, Inez B. Taylor of Lockesburg, Ark. four sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol Bishop, Anita and Kurt Farquhar both of Lockesburg, Leesa and Wayne Kemp of Ashdown, and Lucy and Jimmy Mize of Ben Lomond, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Beau, Corley, Heath, Olivia, Mitch, Taylor, and Jason, one unborn grandchild, Adeline, two great-grandchildren, Jason, and Kiara, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Jamie Taylor will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2012 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. DeWayne Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellville Cemetery, Lockesburg, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
