Mrs. Loretta Marie Young Rowell, age 63, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Friday, May 18, 2012, at her home.

She was born to Charlie and Bessie Lee Jones Young at Idabel, Oklahoma, on December 19, 1948. She was a Certified Nurse Assistant, as well as a homemaker. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church, and enjoyed fishing, and board games.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Rowell, Sr., her parents, and several siblings.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Roy, Jr. and Benita Rowell of De Queen; one daughter and a son-in-law, Vivian and J. R. Green of Lockesburg, Ark., two step-sons, Harvey “PeeWee” and and his wife, Brenda Rowell of Noxon, Montana, Scott Rowell of Odessa, Texas, one step-daughter, Sherry Land Watts of Wickes, One grandchild, and Roy Rowell, III; four step-grandchildren ,Tonya Olalda, Timmy Land, Ashley Watts, Dakota Watts, two step great-grandchildren, four sisters, Juanita Cox of Benton, Arkansas, Mary Nowell, and Margie McNeal both of Texas, and Evelyn Young of Pleasant Hill, Okla. and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Loretta Rowell will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 21, 2012 in the Belleville Cemetery with Bro. Wallace Wooten officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Sunday, May 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
